Recently, O’Neill Europe launched a new virtual world which brings more and more women with board, adventures trips and fashion together. It’s the first unique girls-only website called www.ilovetobefree.com.
Our View
‘I love to be free’ gives the desire to actually being free, travelling, enjoying the sun and finding the ultimate surf spots. Two Dutch O’Neill boarders share the same passion and came up with the idea to start a community for girls only. Our goal, as O’Neill Europe, is to share these girls’ passion for surfing and all the great things in life with all the female current or upcoming boarders. More and more girls are joining this way of life, which makes ILoveToBeFree a unique way to communicate and share their experiences with eachother.
How it works.
To join the IloveToBeFree community the girls have to make an account on the website. It’s 100% free. They’ll get a username and a password when they signing up. The girls can design their own profile so that every profile is unique and worth visiting. There are several independent websites offering layout designs which let the girls select options and previews what their page will look like with them. On the profile itself they got areas like “About Me”, “Interests”, “Videos” and “Friends”. Everybody on the site can be your friend if you send an invitation. This way the girls can send messages, share experiences or even start a virtual friendship.IloveToBeFree gets more and more populair every day. There are a lot of members online and new members are joining us every day.
Topics
ILoveToBeFree has got a lot of interesting topics for girls, such as the latest facts about celebrities, models and trend watchers. To inspire more girls, the O’Neill board girls are going to get on a board with celebrities and going on adventures trips.
There is a way to upload your own videos and photos. The girls can share their uploaded material with eachother and give comments and feedback on the forum or even in private on their own profile. The girls can also win great prices with their uploaded material. Every 2 months there will be a “Rate My Skillz” contest, which allows other girls in the community to give grades for the uploaded videos or photos from other members. And ofcourse, the best video or photo will win an O’Neill coupon which can be used in all O’Neill shops around the world. May the best girl win!
There is also an event-agenda on the site. This agenda gives information about upcoming party’s and board event. This is a great opportunity to meet other board girls or to participate in one of O’Neill’s great board events.
In addition to the fashion section, the O’Neill collection will also be present on the website. The girls can see the newest fashion online and will be updated all the time. Every new collection can be seen on the website. The girls can order the cloths online. Members of the community will get a discount of 10% on all the clothes. This way the board girls can wear the newest collection of O’Neill every season.
Other than that, the girls can find everything about the latest trends in fashion, make-up, gadgets, TV/cinema news and the latest celebrity gossips.

If you are member of IloveToBeFree, you can win a fantastic price. Each member can design her own surfboard on their own profile. The only thing you have to do is download the designerprogam and be creative! When your design is ready, you send it to Designyourownboard@ILTBF.com. You can send as many designs as you want. We choose a winner each month. The winner gets her own designed surfboard!
